Here’s How the MA AI Task Force Can Succeed

Massachusetts AI Task Force

MFN and Jeff Knox discussed the formation of an Artificial Intelligence Task Force by Governor Healy to develop recommendations for Massachusetts to become a leader in AI applications.

    • Innospark Ventures has maintained a consistent focus on the varied and beneficial applications of AI. Jeff appreciates the increased attention AI has garnered but notes that the current focus tends to be limited to certain ‘trendy’ aspects of AI.
    • They’re hopeful that the task force will recognize and promote a broader view of AI technologies. Jeff and his firm are particularly interested in ensuring that the state’s approach encourages innovation across all forms of AI, not just the most well-known or recently highlighted ones.

 

Jeff also discusses Innospark’s commitment to supporting startups that use AI to create positive societal impacts, emphasizing the firm’s dedication to “AI for Good”. Beyond merely investing, Innospark also fulfills an educational role, leveraging its leadership to broaden the market understanding of AI’s extensive possibilities, expanding well beyond conventional applications.

MFN is produced by Lever, a startup accelerator based in North Adams. Our work is supported by funding from and collaboration with the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, based in Westborough.
