Megan is the Chief Executive Officer and General Partner of Y Innovations. Since the inception of The Firm, Megan has managed the growth of the Y Innovations ecosystem to foster innovation through the expansion of Yung Ventures and The Y Innovations Studios. At Y Innovations, Megan focuses on generating high value deals, corporate and intellectual property strategy, and diligencing companies. She is an experienced corporate strategist who specializes in creating high value strategic assets.Megan has held positions as a valuable c-suite member and also led intellectual property and competitive intelligence departments in both public and private biotechnology companies. She also has extensive experience in building a company’s legal and strategy departments from the ground up as well as scaling those departments. Before moving in-house, Megan was an attorney for some of the largest law firms in the world, including Quinn Emanuel, Mintz, and Foley & Lardner, with specialized life sciences departments. While her graduate studies focused in genetic engineering and bioninformatics, her work portfolio spans several different industries including biotech, AI, ME/EE, and energy.Megan has a proven track record in creating strategic assets for companies through high value deals and successfully leading foundational strategic actions, including world-wide litigations that have helped shape the biotech industry. In addition to the heavy legal emphasis of her skills, Megan’s work has focused intimately on designing valuable R&D portfolios through a thorough understanding of competitive intelligence. Her practice is unique as she can draw on her technical, legal, and corporate development expertise to design experiments that have not only proven persuasive in the patent offices, but also with investors as they drive to significant inflection points. With her ability to bridge the R&D, legal, and business departments of a company, she has been instrumental in securing patents and additional funding.
